Page 2.
As mentioned on page 1 here is an old Russian tune, its important I paste all my learning material on this blog otherwise it will simply get lost, but also in this digital form I can copy and paste wherever I like. For instance I've just found context.reverso.net and is a useful adjunct to google translate
Point of this exercise is for us beginners to memorise the first verse.
Please note as I develop and gain ability I hope to go back over this older material and check for mistakes, at the moment at my beginner level it may well hold errors. But it doesn't really matter at this stage, all that matters is that you get in the practice, give it some hard slog. As they say, paint in broad strokes.
Which if we pop over to goog translate we get not only the phonetics but also a translation ...
Tormented by heavy bondage,
You died a glorious death...
In the struggle for the people's cause
You honestly laid down your head... 2 times
Sung I believe in the Labour Camps when a fellow worker had passed away.
For reference and completeness heres the rest of the song below. For beginner purposes verse one is sufficient for now, I got it into my head twenty months ago and it still resides there, its a beautiful tune. A quick google should provide links to many recorded versions on LP etc.
С тобою одна нам дорога;

Here below we can listen to this being performed ...
uh-oh I cannot find the site that I remember of multiple record releases of the above, never mind, paste in the first line and plenty appears on google. It was also included in a film Подруги Eng, 'Podrgi' 1936 ...
Girl Friends (1936 film) - Wikipedia the English version and not very useful.
However here is where Ruski comes into its own ...
Notice, the last word of the link spells out Ruski for wikipedia ie 'vikipediya' and to me that is the magic of Russian. Again goog trans is mighty useful and this Ruski text will serve for sight reading material.
I reckon say an hour a day, split twixt early morning and late evening and easily in a month should have you sight reading, if rather slowly.
Obviously memorisation projects such as my singing songs add considerably to this time schedule. I also think this blog here and my previous effort with collecting material will add another angle to your progress.
How did Russian prison music emerge? - Russia Beyond
First addendum ... In the first verse, third line, we have above as народное ie 'peoples'.
This bugs me as I've learnt the song 20 months ago with instead the less usual рабочее ie 'workers'. ie pron. 'rabochee'.
And here after six different sites we find my preferred version with 'rabochee' ie
